Dave the DiverChineseMagic Mortar
Overview
The Magic Mortar is a special item given by the Fellow Alchemist after completing Fellow Alchemist and Magic Cauldron in Dave the Diver. While it's technically a mortar, the Alchemist will explain it's used to make potions and certain baits, rather than for cooking.
Potions
Potions can be made and used immediately (just keep in mind time skipping will lose the effect) or stored for later use in the Diver Box (but requires you to make sure to access it there and use when you need it). Paste baits
Paste baits can be created to be used with Crab Traps and require any combination of fish to create. There are three tiers of bait, each requiring 100 points each, so to make a Top-tier bait, a total of 300 points of fish are needed. After a bait is made, it'll go into the Diver Box to be available on a future dive. Icon — Name — Rank — Description — Regular Bait — 2 — A paste bait that can lure common fish (for Crab Traps) — Premium Bait — 5 — A paste bait that can lure Rare fish (for Crab Traps) — Top-tier Bait — 9 — A paste bait that can lure Very Rare fish (for Crab Traps) For fish, the rank of the fish determines how many points it contributes for the bait points, with higher ranks being more valuable than lower ones. A chart has been included below to show the breakdown for the ranks. Note that while the min. amounts below are based on fish of the same rank, you can use any combination of ranks to equal 300 (for example, you could use two rank 9 fish, four rank 5, and eight rank 1 to get a Top-tier Bait). This is doubly so with high ranking fish, which are worth far more than what you'd get from a crab trap.
